The Christian Home Educators' Support System (CHESS) is a co-operative group that currently serves over 200 families in the mid-Michigan (Lansing) area by providing support, encouragement, resources, information, activities, and other services that will nurture Christ-like character in home-schooling children and parents, alike. Mike and Kim Winter are a part of the CHESS leadership team and coordinate ministry support efforts.
In 2007, Mike Winter recognized in MOI the opportunity to encourage spiritual development in dads and sons through discipleship within a home school group. He now provides leadership and support in this effort. To learn more about CHESS go to www.lansinghomeschoolers.com.
